We started on the internet back in 1999 and built a superb reputation for quality items and service.

In 2006 we started a retail stall in the local daily market which is situated in the Hall for Cornwall right in the centre of Truro.

We quickly built up regular customers who seemed pleased to see an independent Record shop back in town.

We worked hard to build up a stock based on customer requests and suggestions and our personal friendly service was remarked on all the time.

 

 

 

When we were offered a permanent shop in the main undercover Market we jumped at the chance. This allowed us to expand our ranges and keep more Vinyl on display.

Our regulars are happy that we are now open 6 days a week with a massive stock choice and each day we are gaining new customers thrilled to find an independent Record and CD shop back in Truro.

After many years trading on the internet we have now opened a retail shop in Truro City Centre called Music Nostalgia.

 

 

 

 

 

Finding a Record Shop in Cornwall is hard enough but how about a Record Shop in Truro itself! Unfortunately Record and CD Shops seem to be a dying breed and few and far between. Hopefully though we can fill that gap offering a variety of Music tastes right across the years.

 

Music Nostalgia have a large selection of stock including Compact Discs, Vinyl Records and Music DVDs.

 

It is run by Pete & Hannah Willis with occasional help from their sons James and Daniel! Another crucial member of the team to is Nicky who gives me a day off and covers holidays

Pete has been involved in the music business for many years as both a collector and more recently with an internet business.

Hannah has built the retail side up over the last couple of years in the local daily market.

 

Music Nostalgia sell New and Second Hand stock which is all clearly labelled and of course fully guaranteed.

We try and cover most styles of Music and have recently added a superb selection of Classical & Opera CDs. We will be looking to expand this range over the coming months and hope to establish Music Nostalgia as a major stockist in Cornwall.

 

Our Jazz range is expanding all the time with Traditional right through to Modern Jazz. Customer feedback is important and we have added quality to our stock by listening to recommendations and suggestions.

 

Easy Listening Vocal Music from the 1930s, 1940s & 1950s is another winner. We have Brass Band, Male Voice Choirs, Military Music, Organ & Wurlitzer Music, Ballroom, Salsa and Related Dance Music and of course Big Band & Swing Music.

We have based our shop stock mainly around feedback from customers from many years of trading both on the internet and in the retail sector.

However one indulgence has to be our Christian & Gospel Music section which is driven from our own personal faith and convictions. The quality of the Christian groups around is amazing and many sales in the shop from playing them backs this up.
